In 2013, Meredith set an outright world best for the double crossing of the Auau Channel in her first ultra marathon swim. Sharing her training triumphs and disasters, she never gave up and inspired those around her.  With a barebones budget, tiny fishing boat, and local military/firefighter crew, Meredith shattered the existing Men’s World Record becoming the first woman to ever successfully swim from Lanai to Maui and back.  When her story of faith, determination and two tiger sharks went viral (Sports Illustrated, Huffington Post, Grind TV, The Surf Channel, Slowtwitch, Lava Magazine, every Hawaii news station, Perez Hilton, etc.) she came up with even bigger goals and has never looked back.
